International Women’s day 2025 organized by Taunet Nelel Women group- The power of story telling

International Women’s Day is celebrated in March each year, to honor women’s fight for equality and liberation, together with pressing on with the advocacy for women’s rights.

International Women’s Day draws attention to issues affecting women such as gender equality, reproductive rights, violence and abuse against women.

Taunet Nelel Women group met at St Matthew’s Anglican Church, At Wheeler’s Hill Victoria and reflected, shared uplifting stories and celebrated their various life journeys. Leaving your own country to migrate to another country, especially for women can be full of challenges that are not limited to social isolation, loneliness, employment and housing.  The women of Taunet Lel embraced their journeys and continue to march forward in establishing and growing  their lives here in Australia.
