Founder’s Story: From Adversity to Empowerment
Sembolei Life Coaching and Career Development was founded on my deeply personal journey of overcoming adversity, cultivating resilience, and achieving transformation. Growing up as a shy child, I faced significant challenges, including a complicated relationship with my father. Despite these early obstacles, I developed an unshakable belief in myself, turning setbacks into stepping stones for success.
My father, initially distant and unaccepting, later became a source of pride and inspiration. Our eventual reconciliation not only healed past wounds but also ignited the creation of Sembolei Life Coaching. “Chebo Sembolei,” meaning “daughter of Sembolei,” serves as a lasting tribute to my father’s legacy, representing resilience, triumph, and the power of transformation.
Founder’s Story: From Adversity to Empowerment
My story is one of personal transformation. Born a girl against my father’s wishes, I faced rejection early in life. My father even attempted to end my life as an infant, placing me in the path of an oncoming herd of cows. But fate intervened—a mother cow diverted the herd, saving my life. This event became a powerful symbol of survival and strength for me.
As I grew older, I sought healing and reconciliation. In adulthood, I initiated a conversation with my father, and we resolved our differences. Our relationship transformed, with my father becoming my biggest supporter until his passing in 2021. This journey inspired the creation of Sembolei Life Coaching, symbolizing the power of forgiveness, persistence, and love.

After moving to Australia in 2013, I faced the challenge of starting life from scratch. Despite my education and experience in Kenya, the Australian job market required a new set of skills. Determined to succeed, I gained expertise in aged care, disability, community service, and social work. Over the years, I built a rich, diverse career, combining my skills from both the corporate world and the human services sector.
To further my ability to help others, I pursued a Diploma in Life Coaching, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to guide individuals on their own paths of growth and success.
